This page of the site is where I will offer you information on the latest up and coming bands in the world of British rock music.
The bands will spread across a variety of different rock subgenres. Ranging from Ska-rock to Metal, and I will make it my objective to search out fresh and exciting bands that may have yet reached your ears. Hopefully, due to the diversity of the bands recieving coverage, i’ll also be able to broaden your own music horizons.
We Are The Ocean
For fans of: Alexisonfire, Underoath, Emarosa
This London five piece have gained an unbelievable amount of momentum recently, as their blend of hardcore and melodic rock has caught the attention of thousands of fans across the country.
After forming in 2006, they released their self-titled 2008 E.P with their own money .The decision was a positive one, as the 1,000 available copies sold out in one day. Their debut album `Cutting Our Teeth’ was released on the 2nd February this year, and has already sold thousands more.As well as this, the record has recieved a warm reception from critics. UK rock magazine `Rock Sound’ gave the album `9/10′ and likened the band to international rock superstars `Alexisonfire’. A comparison that no band should be ashamed of.

Sam Little
For fans of: Jimmy Eat World, The Rocket Summer,Michael Jackson
Sam Little is a little known solo artist from the town of Bexhill, South England.
He specialises in writing the kind of melodies that only he can describe as `ridiculously cheesy pop’.It’s like a hybrid of The Rocket Summer, Michael Jackson and Craig David.It shouldn’t work, but it does.
His first single `She’s Just Not That Into You’ has just been recorded, and his first CD is set to be released in April of this year.In support of this release, Sam has scheduled a gigantic tour starting this March.

Architects
For fans of: Hatebreed, Underoath, Converge
Architects are a metalcore band from Brighton.Unlike the other bands in this section, they have been together for close to six years. However, I felt they needed to be included as they are often overlooked by music fans. Also, after recruiting new singer Sam Fisher in 2008, their style has changed drastically enough to warrant recognition as a new band.
After originally releasing their debut album `Ruin’ in 2007, the band toured the country relentlessly, but were outshadowed by their peers in Bring Me The Horizon. However,after releasing the emphatic `Hollow Crown’ album last year, the group look to be finally gaining the success they deserve.
Their sound is difficult to describe, it’s almost akin to their metalcore counterparts Bring Me The Horizon, but with a faster and heavier sound, Architects are like ‘Horizon’s older and meaner big brother.
The group are heading on tour with US superstars `A Day To Remember’ in March, but the dates are on the brink of selling out, so load up their Myspace,crank up the volume and get yourself down there.
